Pitt guard Ashton Gibbs was named to the 2010-11 Wooden Preseason Top 50 list.

Gibbs was named the Big East's Most Improved Player last season and was named to the All Big East Second Team. Averaging 15.7 points per game, Gibbs developed into one of Pitt's leaders during the 2009-10 season. He also was Pitt's second leading scorer behind only Gilbert Brown on Pitt's trip to Ireland this Summer.

Gibbs is the only Pitt representative and is joined by several Big East players including Corey Fisher (Villanova), Austin Freeman (Georgetown), Jeremy Hazell (Seton Hall), Kris Joseph (Syracuse), Brandon Triche (Syracuse), and Kemba Walker (UCONN).
