On the night of the draft, Brad Wanamaker sits cautiously optimistic. He's considered on the fringe of being selected, but is still feeling good about his chances.
In today's Trib-Review, Wanamaker had this to say:"I've got a good feeling," he said. "I'm a little bit nervous, but at the same time I'm excited."
According to the article, Wanamaker's been on an around-the-NBA tour, trying out for ten teams including the Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs, Boston Celtics, New Jersey Nets, Chicago Bulls, Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves, Atlanta Hawks, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Indiana Pacers.
One thing to point out is that many of those teams went to the playoffs and would likely draft near the end of the second round, when Wanamaker is expected to be taken if he's selected at all.
The NBA Draft is two-thirds of the way through the first-round as of right now, and if you're expecting Wanamaker to be selected, you've probably got a bit of a wait ahead of you.
